Interlinked highlights ReLink Drain at CIRSE
Interlinked recently participated in CIRSE, connecting with clinicians, companies and partners from across the interventional radiology community and discussing the challenge of accidental nephrostomy catheter dislodgement.
Throughout the congress, conversations focused on the clinical and healthcare-system consequences that can follow when a nephrostomy catheter is accidentally dislodged.
Addressing accidental nephrostomy catheter dislodgement
A dislodged nephrostomy catheter can result in an unplanned return to hospital, additional imaging, replacement procedures, treatment delays and further clinical intervention. For patients who may already be vulnerable, this can create an additional burden during their treatment.
At CIRSE, Interlinked shared ReLink Drain, a breakaway connector designed to reduce accidental nephrostomy catheter dislodgement.
The congress provided an important opportunity to discuss the clinical need behind the technology, learn from healthcare professionals and explore how ReLink Drain could support patients and clinical teams.
Continuing conversations and collaboration
Interlinked would like to thank everyone who took the time to meet with us and discuss their experiences and perspectives during CIRSE.
A special thank you goes to Alessandro Ugolini, Marco Zarelli and the Seda S.p.A. team for the valuable conversations and time together during the congress.
We also thank the CIRSE community for creating an important meeting place for collaboration and knowledge exchange within interventional radiology.
