Interlinked has been selected as one of the Swedish companies participating in the Acceleration of Civil–Military Innovations Conference in Stockholm, as part of the Civil–Military Innovation Program (CMIP).

The conference brings together companies, public-sector stakeholders and defence actors to explore how civilian technologies and innovations can contribute to future capabilities, resilience and collaboration between the civilian and defence sectors.

Interlinked was represented by Katarina Hedbeck, CEO and Co-founder, and Dr Rebecca Stjernberg Bejhed, COO and Co-founder, who presented the company’s work and discussed the potential relevance of ReLink technology in demanding care environments.

Protecting catheter access in demanding environments

Accidental catheter dislodgement can interrupt the delivery of essential treatment. In deployed and emergency settings, the consequences can be particularly challenging, as replacing a catheter may be difficult or, in some situations, not immediately possible.

During the conference, Katarina and Rebecca discussed this challenge and shared how Interlinked’s technology, originally developed in response to needs identified in civilian healthcare, could also have potential applications in military and emergency care.

The discussions highlighted the broader potential for healthcare innovations to contribute to resilience and operational readiness, particularly in environments where continuity of treatment and reliable vascular access are important.

Connecting civilian innovation with defence needs

Interlinked’s participation in the Civil–Military Innovation Program forms part of the company’s growing engagement with stakeholders across defence, emergency medicine and other dual-use environments.

The conference provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives with representatives from industry, the public sector and defence, and to better understand how technologies originating in civilian healthcare could respond to needs in more demanding operational settings.

Interlinked thanks the organisers and partners for creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration between industry, research, healthcare and defence.
